Sisters Sarah Jane Walsh and Megan Rizzo of Almost Famous Eclectic Homewares and Fashion in Paddington, Brisbane are inspired by vintage clothing and an interesting range of Homewares that come with a story. A simple scratch, or a worn out patch can evoke a million tales.
Sarah Jane and Megan’s passion was sparked as children from growing up in the country and having a large extended family with an abundance of hand me downs and family gatherings where there was always a reason to ‘dress-up’. This inspired us to explore the second hand market. Megan loved anything with great textures and favoured the pink and sparkly whereas Sarah Jane adored vintage fashions.
With Sarah Jane’s background in the film business and Megan’s career in banking and business we thought we would combine our skills and talents creating Almost Famous.
Almost Famous stocks an amazing range of vintage clothing, shoes, costume jewellery and accessories, handbags, retro furniture, and also sixties and seventies artworks.
